Korea–Ethiopia Innovation Center (KEIC) was established in 2014 based on the MOU between the Ministry of Science and Technology in Ethiopia and STEPI. KEIC is an organization that promotes Korea-Ethiopia S&T cooperation and partnership. Science and Technology Policy Institute (STEPI) and Korea Environment Institute (KEI) donated computers to support IT-based education and research in Ethiopia.
On January 10, 2017, a computer donation ceremony took place at Science and Technology Policy Institute. In response to the request from the Ministry of Education of Ethiopia, STEPI took the first step to promote IT-based education and improve access to IT equipment in Ethiopia’s rural area.
