2015 TAP Training Program - Technology Transfer Policies

STEPI-IICC conducted a Training Program titled “Technology Transfer Policies and Proven Transfer Processes” for the government officials from Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Tunisia (MHESR) and Agency for Promotion of Industry and Innovation (APII) from November 12to 28.

The main objectives of the program were to share the S&T policy and technology transfer experiences between the two countries, to support business strategy establishment for economic development and to obtain cooperation channel with participating country in the field of S&T Innovation policy.

Korean experts conducted a key role in Korea S&T policy establishment and technology transfer were invited for a specific case study about S&T policy, technology transfer and commercialization. Moreover, various organizations related to S&T policy such as KAIST, SBA, KAIST, Innopolis Foundation, KRICT, ETRI, DMC, were also organized to contribute a strong network as well as information exchange between the two countries.

In the session of country report, Mr. Fethi Zagrouba, Director of MHESR, introduced overall status in S&T policy of Tunisia and research governance, systems and models of technology transfer in Tunisia based on the diagnosis result about Tunisian NIS which was reported by EU. International S&T cooperation is especially important for building technology transfer and commercialization center and operating the system. Thus, it is meaningful to share Korea’s experiences and knowledge on operating and managing Technopark and laws and regulations about technology transfer.
