In addition, they visited the STEPI to meet the President Jong-Guk Song and they discussed on the project and establishment of cooperative network between STEPI and PSEB.

The Director Nasir Afridi stayed at the STEPI-IICC for two weeks to conduct in-depth study with interviews and meetings with the experts in Korea. The participants sought to find a successful model for the PSEB IT Park in Islamabad, and shared applicable development experience and management knowhow.

The STEPI-IICC and the PSEB shared a good understanding on the necessity of good policy planning and effective implementation for a successful development of a new IT Park in Islamabad. As Korea developed its science parks with right policies and a strong support from the public side, the Pakistani government may establish policies and regulations to support the new IT Park.

In addition, the STEPI-IICC shared knowledge and experience in national policy including the IT sector for the future development of the IT cluster in Pakistan. The STEPI-IICC and the PSEB expect to expand its scope of cooperation in the future.
